Tofubox is now in my regular, I don't feel like cooking today but I want something healthy to eat for delivery option. My go-to favorite order is the braised tofu box, which didn't come with purple rice the first time I ordered, but the brown rice was excellent. The tofu is very well seasoned and I also enjoy the red bean buns. Also, I don't know what magic is in those nuggets, but I could eat those all day everyday lol.

Incredible. Great food and great value -- never had a bad experience here. Would recommend the sichuan beef but everything I've tried on the menu has been fantastic

Literally a hidden gem! A friend suggested it one day and I was hesitant as I am not usually a fan of vegetarian restaurants. Boy was I in for a surprise! First time coming I got the Braised Tofu Lunch Special which was amazing and remains my favorite. I am also obsessed with the Wontons in Chili oil which was recommended by one of the female workers. I plan to try other dishes as everything always looks so good! The workers are all so friendly and helpful! The space has a few seats inside, but I do not believe there is a restroom.

My favorite place in the neighborhood to get vegetarian food! Super tasty, affordable, huge portions, friendly service....I mean, there is nothing missing from this experience. I highly recommend the kung pao chicken bento box. As a meat eater, I did not miss the meat.

We ordered delivery from here. I was in the mood for vegetarian food. Chinese vegetarian food has always been surprisingly good with amazing places like Buddha Bodhai and Spicy Moon. Spicy moon is my absolute favorite. The menu was extensive so it was hard to figure out what to order. I got the fried vegetarian dumplings. They were ok. I prefer more chives in my dumplings than what they put in theirs. We split the Mapo Tofu which was delicious. We also got the crispy tofu box which came with an eclectic array of side dishes including crispy fried tofu with a sweet shell, broccoli, cauliflower, rice, fried "chicken nuggets" and different types of mushrooms. I really liked the variety. I probably wouldn't come out of my way to eat here but it would remain a good option if I was in the neighborhood or am within deliverable distance. While I would definitely go out of my way to go to Spicy Moon.

Tofubox has always been a staple of mine. Vegan and a well balanced meal for anyone who wants a taste of Chinese food. This place offers crispy tofu, spicy tofu, braised tofu, and any sorts of tofu imaginable hence its name, Tofubox. The ambience is very quiet with a couple of tables and retro chairs. There's a rail on your way up to the counter and ordering is pretty simple. They have lunch box sets where you can choose which tofu and rice you want. They have purple or brown rice for you to choose, which is very healthy. I usually get the crispy tofu lunch box set with purple rice. This set includes sweet potatoe fries, purple rice, crispy tofu, broccoli, and seitan! So healthy! I love the purple rice a lot and how it's cooked! Not too dry or wet. The tofu is crispy and skin is always separating. Fries are kind of on the soft side. Wish it was harder! Broccoli is steamed so it's very healthy! Overall, a good healthy option for anyone who is trying to maintain their health and weight.

This is a super unassuming place in Williamsburg and it surprisingly has a small indoor seating area. Everything is super informal here - everything is served in disposable plastic containers and the waitress serves both the tables and the take out counter. Everything is almost vegan (including the noodles and "meat"). It had a great MaLa flavor and I liked everything we had. Pretty cheap overall too for the portions. Sweet Potato Spring Rolls ($6.50) - comes with 4 pieces. Honestly looked unappetizing when it came, but was actually great. Outside is perfectly crispy and the sweet potato on the inside was soft. Best eaten warm though, the texture is off when it cools down Double cooked pork slices ($13.50), crispy tofu box ($14.50) - these honestly tasted the same but with different proteins. The crispy tofu was so good, very flavorful and crisp. Buddha's Delight ($13.50) - this was your standard pan fried noodles. The flavor was good.

Out and about in Williamsburg before hitting Haven, my friend and I decided to fuel up on some vegetarian dim sum. Tofubox is geared towards takeout/delivery, with just a couple small tables inside. The menu is pretty expansive, covering meatless versions of typical dim sum staples. We snagged an order of sweet potato spring rolls, mock beef summer rolls, and a steamed dumpling combo. This turned out to be considerably more food than we expected, but made for good leftovers. The spring rolls were piping hot and crisp, filled with a a springy filling not unlike mochi and covered with shredded coconut. The summer rolls were fresh, but packed too loosely, leading the rolls to fall apart. The dumplings had a tasty, savoury hit with fillings of veggies (bok choi + shitake), tofu, and egg & tomato. Worth a repeat visit

Opted for the double-cooked pork this time, and it offered a stunning impersonation of the original, with an assertive medium-spice sauce. Tofubox isn't content to get by with Nice Try Vegan Chicken Nuggets. Exploring vegetarian spots for curiosity rather than necessity, I've often encountered situations where, say, a jackfruit sandwich is just fine, but I'm still full after spending $20. Tofubox, however, offers a surprisingly good value proposition. If you're reading this review you're not a regular yet and thus should start out with a box set, preferably Box Set B.
